Our Inspiration

Howard H. Stevenson

Howard H. Stevenson is the world’s most iconic professor of entrepreneurship. Described as a “a lovable insurgent, a revolutionary who has succeeded,” Howard coined what Inc Magazine proclaimed to be the “best definition of an entrepreneur ever.” He was the founding president of famed hedge-fund, Baupost. He was chairman of NPR and Harvard Business School Publishing.

Pravi’s origin can be traced to the relationship between Howard and one of Pravi’s co-founders, Eric Sinoway.  Initially introduced when Eric undertook an independent study with Howard at Harvard, the two have collaborated for almost 20 years.

Howard’s Gift

Howard’s “uncommon wisdom” – and lifetime of experiences around the world – are captured in the best-selling book, Howard’s Gift: Uncommon Wisdom to Inspire Your Life’s Work, written by Pravi co-founder Eric Sinoway, after Howard survived a heart-attack that by all accounts should have been fatal. Howard’s Gift is sold around the world. Lessons from it are featured in Pravi Academy products and services.
